Blood Donation Campaign

GOAL:
Reducing mortality rate of mothers due to lack of blood in healthy centers and hospitals.

OBJECTIVES:
1. Saving lives of pregnant mothers who die during delivery due to lack of blood.
2. Saving lives of women (both pregnant and non) who get involved in road accidents.
3. Reducing blood stock outs for the needy patients.

TARGET POPULATION:
We are targeting both men and women including the youth who are medically approved to be
eligible to donate blood.

BENEFICIARIES:
Our primary beneficiaries are pregnant women.
PROJECT DESIGN:

 Children’s Hope Charity is implementing this project in partnership with Uganda Red
cross.
 Red Cross will offer an ambulance on the standby throughout the project cycle in addition
to other medical related support.
 At least 1000 units are expected to be collected.
 During the mapping exercise, local leaders and village health teams (VHTs) will be
involved in the mobilization process.
 The three (3) blood donation centers will be organized in Masaka City in strategic areas.

The project is expected to be implemented within one month.
