The Last Cross (TLC) – Organization Description:

The Last Cross (TLC) is a non-governmental, charity organization dedicated to working hand-in-hand with communities to create safe, nurturing environments for children. Our mission is to positively impact the lives of young people, empowering them to live evaluative, accountable, and responsible lives as future leaders and change-makers.

At TLC, we deeply understand the hardships and challenges that children in Africa face — challenges we know both through extensive research and firsthand experience. We recognize that addressing these problems requires not just care, but a holistic, informed, and sustainable approach.

To guide our work, we have developed the acronym CHILD, which stands for:

• Care: Ensuring that every child feels valued, protected, and loved.

• Hope: Inspiring belief in a better future through education, mentorship, and support.

• Inclusion: Embracing every child regardless of background, status, or ability.

• Leadership: Building leadership qualities in children to help them shape and transform their communities.

• Development: Supporting the mental, physical, emotional, and social growth of every child.
